Future Visions for Vine of CHRIST Ministries
 
   The future for VCM. will be vast. There will be a return to providing the needs of the incarcerated and their families, especially the families.
There will be a broadband of provisions and resources provided through our ministry. Almost that of a social service group, but better organized and far less "hoop jumping." We are Christians and are not here to judge people, but to provide their needs through the providence of GOD!
  
   LORD willing, our services will cover all areas of life, from spiritual, emotional, financial and physical. There are future plans for the set up and operations of a mobile clinic, providing both medical and dental needs. These will operate in lower income areas or wherever the need arises.
 
   Eventually, we will begin to broaden our horizons, reaching out to those in need outside of the United States. There are plans on spreading the reach or our emergency  relief program around the world. Similar to other organizations already doing this, but with principles  set on bringing glory to the precious name of JESUS!!! I'd heard, through a world ministry watchdog, that eighteen months after the Indonesian tsunami, that very little of the donated funds had reached those in need. Herein lies another aspect of our future.
 
   In our future, we will have things set up for a rapid response to disasters. No longer will people have to wait for weeks to begin getting the help needed. We will have the infrastructure set up, where supplies and services can begin reaching disaster areas within 24 hrs., if not sooner!! This is going to be no small undertaking, but with the providence of GOD and the support of the Christian community and volunteers. It will be done!! This isn't coming from a person that hasn't lived through it. I witnessed firsthand how the government and other groups operated. I rode out the northeastern quad. of Rita and counted 15 plus tornadoes close enough to begin sucking in the walls of the house. I also saw that it took 3 days before  the first local police car was seen. I'd been out already, making the rounds of the neighbors homes, on a riding lawn mower! Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful for all the help we received, but things have to work faster and smoother. Less paperwork and more action!!!
 
   Herein lies our needs for a large and competent infrastructure. One that knows the needs, has them on hand and has the means to get them where they're needed. There will be numerous headquarters set up, ready before the disaster ever strikes. The transportation and material handling supplies ready. Plus all the skilled and unskilled people to provide those services needed. We will attack these areas like a well practiced military unit. Going in and clearing the way and not leaving until everyone is taken care of.
 
   As this site gets better set up and we get the needs to do so, there will be far more biblical content. But, first things first and that is taking care of our current needs. These include transportation and construction equipment, to do that work needed to get people back into homes. Sure, we are in need of a new computer system, one that will handle the vast amount of information needed to bring this all together and one that can make this site one that will glorify the name of JESUS CHRIST our LORD and SAVIOR. There will be a need to relocate, into a larger, more functional complex, but this too will take place within the future!

Current Happenings

   Due to the weather here on the coastal bend of south Texas, there hasn't been any progress on finishing up work that has been in progress for several month. It's not been ideal weather to do the work properly, so it hasn't been. Others may of done this painting in the cool temperatures, but I'll not, because this work represents JESUS and HIS love being shared through us.
   I've been working on drawing the attentions of others towards the ministry by networking the social sites online. I've also been led to writing two blogs, one a general informational blog (with some Biblical references) and the other is a daily devotional. Both have been proceeding well, though numerous computer problems, and are beginning to increase in their followings. Praise the LORD for this, for all that has been written has been through HIS leadership, just my hands doing the typing.
   I've had to put out a plea for funding at the one blog, something I really din not want to do. But with all the problems with the current computer and the grow that is beginning to happen, funds are a major concern!! I did not make the "tithing plea" as to many of you are used to hearing from ministries/ministers. Yes, GOD has promised to bless those that give to others, but to receive back from HIM should not be our purpose for giving. We should give because we love those that GOD created and we want to show HIS love to them. As always though, I requested that all pray and seek the LORD's leading in this process and then for them to follow it, not just to give because I've asked.

   Currently I'm doing a lot of networking on the internet. working on setting up a knowledge base to the ministry. Many of you that come here are the results of these projects. There are also translation of "Out of the LIGHT" being worked on. These are due to request from people I've run into on the internet, that have found it a very interesting book and want to use it as a witnessing tool in their home countries.
   As more and more people begin to visit the site, I'll have to cut back on time spent on networking it, to improve on the site it's self. This like all things will only happen in the LORD's timing and not before. There is a long way to go for the ministry to be fully set up and functioning, but each day brings us one step closer than we were before. One day soon I pray that I'll be able to step aside and allow others to take care of these works, but until others catch the dream that the LORD has blessed me with, I'll continue going it alone. May GOD bless everyone with a vision and may it one day too come into fruition.
