Current Program Start Ups

It has begun! As of today I’m beginning to start up some of the programs which the ministry was intended to encompass. As I’ve said before VCM is like unto it’s name, a vine with many branches, all reaching out to glorify the name of JESUS in a world of darkness. These are, at this time, going to only be shadows of all that they will eventually be, but they are beginning to ‘bud’ and shall eventually bring forth abundant fruit!

A prison ministry: To include fellowship (our going in behind the bars), correspondence (letters from those outside the walls), Bible studies (of multiple levels, from beginner to advanced), emergency care (being there during times of trouble, such as deaths within their families or medical emergencies), book purchasing (biblical study literature and personal Bibles) and a system to prepare them for release from incarceration (a very difficult transition to say the least, especially for those who’ve done a long sentence!)

A Post Release Program: Containing; job training and procurement programs, housing location and assistance program, Fellowships and what we call the “RePray Program” (a returning of the blessings received to those outside of the ministry.)

Programs for the families of the incarcerated: fellowship, Bible studies, prayer, emergency care and visitation assistance. There will even be a program to prepare them for the release of their loved one from prison. For this transition isn't the easiest one to make for the inmate themselves, let alone for the family waiting for this day.

The "FATHER Feeds," This is a multiple outreach program, consisting of a soup kitchen, food pantry and general outreach into the community (this includes: housing weatherization, renovations and general upkeep for those that can’t afford it themselves.)

A substance abuse and aftercare program, along the lines of “Overcomers in CHRIST,” a totally faith based system dependent on ones belief in CHRIST.

A youth based ministries including fellowship, Bible studies, sports and other group activities and tutoring and counseling.

Job training programs, where we will train people to pickup a job skill, to the betterment of their lives. This will use experienced tradesmen, drawing from their vast years of experience in their fields of expertise. Also providing assistance in job procurement and preparation. Even assisting in getting them the tools needed to start out in their new vocation.

There will be other programs set up eventually, these including temporary shelter for both singles and families, Bible studies for the general public, a mobile medical center (taking medical services to those that can’t get them on their own for some reason) and two “Open Prayer Lines” (one via phone and another online.)

This sounds like a lot, but truly it’s only the start! As I said, “It’s like a vine, it has many branches.”

Vine Ministerial Network International (V.M.N.I.) : Some of you may of noticed this name, but know nothing about it. This is going to be the name of our International Outreach program. It is currently being placed before the Liberian government for recognition as a viable ministry. This is in preparation for a future evangelical crusade to the country. This has all stemmed from my book being given freely to one person in ministry there. Joseph has given freely of it to others and there has gone up to heaven a cry for my visiting there to evangelize and minister to the many there in great need. This will not only be for the purpose of evangelization, but also the ministering through outreach, showing the love of JESUS to those so greatly in need.

As many of you know, I'm a convicted felon and can't get a passport to travel outside the country. I've always known this would be a limitation to the ministry's growth and have prayed over it. The LORD has impressed it upon my heart to do nothing on my own to take care of this problem, no letters, emails, nothing, and I've not! For HE will open the doors and provide all that is needed to overcome this and all the other obstructions to HIS ministry's progression around the world. A tall order for man, but a minor detail for a wonder working GOD to whom nothing is impossible!!! So please keep these matters in your prayers, listen to whatever GOD impresses upon your heart and follow through on it. Know completely and without a doubt, that whatever works the LORD has begun in you, HE will bring to full fruition and completion to the richness of HIS glory!!!
